Stars & Scoops

Thank You, And Welcome To Our Dog Waste Removal Service!

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICIES.

How often does our company come out?
Most customers prefer once a week. However, if you have children playing in the yard or three plus dogs, we urge you to consider at least two visits per week.
No, there are no contracts to sign. However, we ask that you enter this service with a long-term outlook. Dogs will never stop making their messes, and it is a long-term commitment to pick up after them. So we ask that if we exceed your expectations, you allow us to earn your long-term business.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. You may present the card to us at the time of the first service, or we can email you a secure link to add your card. We do not accept cash, checks, or Venmo.
We bill monthly on the first day of the month and use the following formula. Weekly amount x 52 weeks in a year / 12 months = Monthly amount. We bill this way so that the amount is always the same, whether it’s a four-week or a five-week month. This helps our clients plan and budget for this expense.

Yes, We charge a flat fee of $40 for the first 30 minutes. Should the cleanup take longer than 30 minutes, we will charge an additional $15 every 15 minutes. This fee is waived if the yard is already maintained.

With respect to scheduling, we are unable to provide a time frame on your scoop day. We have many yards to clean, and our routes are constantly being optimized for efficiency. This also helps keep our rates low for you! Our routes run from around 9am to dark. Communication is important and you will always receive notice via text when we are on the way. We provide about 60 minutes notice, so you are properly informed of our arrival. If you are at the beginning of our route, you will likely receive a 15-30 minute on the way text. We don’t want to bother you too early in the morning. Your scoop day will be the same day each week. If your service day ever changes, we will always communicate with you in advance.
No, we are happy to work while you are away. We simply ask for easy access to your gate. We can also clean with the doggies in the yard as long as they are very friendly. Once the cleanup is completed we will send a picture of your closed gate.
Yes, we work through most weather all year. Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and our company continues to clean up and remove dog waste from January 1st through December 31st.
We’ll work in most weather, but there may be days when heavy rain, high winds, lightning, and other unforeseen weather circumstances could happen. In those cases, you will receive a text message notifying you that we will not serve your yard on that day. Will I still have a weekly charge if the weather prevents my service? Yes, please understand that we will have twice the waste pick up the following week and that waste could still be damp with rainwater making it an even more unpleasant task.
We take the following days off 1) New Year’s Day. 2) Memorial Day. 3) July 4th, 4) Labor Day. 5) Thanksgiving Day. 6) Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will also take a vacation from time to time and notify you in advance. If my service day falls on a holiday or vacation day, will I still have a weekly charge? Yes, please understand that we will have a double week’s worth of waste to remove upon our return.

There could be times when your service is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, the most common being an illness, injury, or a vehicle breakdown. In these cases, you will be given as much notice as possible that your yard will not be serviced that day. Will I still have a weekly charge if my service is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances? Yes, please understand that the following week there will be two weeks’ worth of waste to pick up. We do understand that a yard can only be allowed to become so messy before it needs to be cleaned. In the event of an extended illness or injury, if you would like to clean your own yard, we would be happy to issue you a credit. We will, of course, do our best to keep these types of situations to a minimum.

Yes, please. We do not climb or jump over fences, so please leave your gate unlocked on service days. You may provide us with a key or a combination if that would be more convenient for you. Will I be billed if I forget to unlock my gate, or the dog will not let you into the yard? Yes, because we have to cover travel time to your location and there will be twice the waste to pick up the following week.

We understand that people go on vacation and take their dogs with them, and there may be a few days each year where we skip the day. In such cases, we ask for as much notice as possible (at least 24 hours) so that we may fill your spot with another customer. Please understand that we reserve a time slot for your yard every week. Excessive skipped days will result in removal from our service.
Dog waste blends into tall grass, weeds, leaves, twigs, fallen fruit, etc. If you choose to let your yard go, we will not be able to guarantee complete removal of waste…we can’t pick up what we can’t see. If you let your yard go for too long, we will have no choice but to put your yard on hold until the grass is cut.
Yes! We disinfect our equipment after each cleanup with an organic, kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs.
Due to the excessive amount of accumulated waste, we do not take the dog waste away with us. Once the cleanup is complete, we will place the waste inside of your trash receptacle if it’s outside. Otherwise, we will double/triple bag the waste so it’s presentable and place the bags by your gate.
